  • Canadian Youth Business Foundation ,otherwise known as Youth Business, is a private-sector funded non-profit organization which was formed to address youth unemployment and under-employment by providing programs that support young people who are creating their own employment through entrepreneurship. Their mission is to help young people who would not otherwise have the opportunity, to develop their self-confidence, achieve economic independence, fulfil their ambitions and contribute to the community through the medium of self-employment and job creation. This mission is achieved by providing specific programs dedicated to supporting aspiring young entrepreneurs in the early stages of business start-up. Programs and services are delivered through partnerships established with other community-based youth serving organizations and educational institutions.

  • Career Edge is a national, not-for-profit organization whose mandate is to enhance youth employability. The program is aimed at graduates of university, college and high school who have finished their education but who lack career-related work experience. By completing a six-, nine-, or twelve-month paid internship in one of the program's Host Organizations, the Interns gain the skills and experience they need to become more marketable in the workplace. Participating Host Organizations offer Interns on-the-job learning, coaching from an experienced employee, and networking and training opportunities. At the same time, the Host Organizations benefit by gaining fresh ideas from bright, talented and committed graduates.
