Oak Ridges Moraine Project
is an environmental mapping initiative of the Geological Survey of Canada, carried out in collaboration with the Ontario Geological Survey. The study area extends from the Niagara Escarpment to Trenton and from Lake Ontario to Lake Simcoe. The principal goals are: to map the surface and subsurface geology; to identify regional aquifers; and to apply this geological understanding to more detailed hydrogeological investigations on an aquifer or watershed scale. Detailed geological diagrams are provided.
